Just that really, baby due in May, pumped and breastfed for 14 months and would be great to be hands free whilst pumping?

I loved it, so much easier than my Medela Swing.

Wanted to notify you that if you do buy this pump and want to store it away for long term use you need to make sure you charge/update the software frequently otherwise long term storage can cause the pump to be redundant. I hope you do not find yourself in my position having to buy a new pump because the old doesn't last more than a year in offline mode!! I was disappointed with how little support I received from Elvie too!

I can’t comment on the Elvie pump specifically but there a lot of portable pumps being advertised on Google now and I’ve been scammed out of £120. I ordered a pump from a company called ‘milky twins’ It took over a month to arrive and when I tried to return it (as I was told by customer services that if I needed a pump urgently I should buy another and return theirs when it arrived) they then ignored my emails, and I have no return post address. The pump is awful and doesn’t work!! Their website then shutdown (a lot of the same complaints on Facebook) but a new website called Wize Pump or WizePump has since come up which has the same reviews, branding, website design and products for sale has just popped up on my Google search. I reported them to Facebook and wrote about my experience and they claim it’s not the same thing which clearly it is. Please don’t get scammed like I did!!

Reviving this thread as I’m also debating this pump but reading a lot of mixed reviews and it’s very expensive! Hands free and quiet is so appealing though.

I went back to work at 4 months and used the Elvie every day to express milk for the best part of 10 months. I really rated it but the flanges can be tricky and I experienced lack of suction a few times where I’d have the pump in and it just wasn’t expressing any milk. If you have the receipt customer services is great, but be wary about buying second hand for this reason.
I’ve been resent the Tommee Tippee hands free one to test and I really rate it so far.

It depends why you want to use a pump. Hands free pumps like this are great for mothers who are away from their babies, pumping to relieve engorgement. But if you're going to be with your baby most of the time then it's easier to feed from the source without the faff of washing and sterilising kit.

I bought a pump when pregnant and then never used it.

If you need to pump early on in your journey to build a supply, then hiring a housetrained grade pump is necessary.
