Quick - need advice about dropping bedtime feed tonight

Should have asked earlier, but if anyone does manage to reply in the next 45mins, much appreciated:

Planning to not offer DT1 14mo bf at bedtime tonight - she has been quite disinterested recently and just playing at the breast (sore nipples for me). DT2 still going strong and that's fine - will continue until she's also not very interested.

BUT they each have their own boob. Assuming DT1 does not have her feed, should I offer DT2 both sides? (Which would be complete novelty to both of us) or just swap to other boob tomorrow????

What did you do? Sorry you didn't get reply in time.

I've read on here about children going on bf strikes. They appear disinterested for a few weeks. They then get over this and get back in to the bf. Did you know that the average age that a child would naturally wean themselves from bf is 4.

If DT1 does give up the bf I'd offer DT2 both sides cos I'd be worried about having lop sided boobs!

I am in total awe of mothers of twins that breast feed. And especially of you for continueing with it for so long. Well done!

Thank you, that's kind. Good point about the breastfeeding strikes. Although as you say, I am proud of having bf them and for so long so I won't be too sorry to stop now if we can The good thing is that if I keep feeding DT2 I will still have milk if she does decide she's not stopped yet.

In the end I just fed DT2 from her side as usual, in case DT1 didn't settle without it, but she did, and no sign of lopsided boobs today. I will feed DT2 from one side each night I think and see how that works for us.
