2.2 yo is still on formula - advice needed

My DD is 2.2 and still drinking formula. I bfed until nearly 1 and then swapped to 1year+ follow on formula. Tried to wean her onto cow's milk but she refuses it and wont drink at all. She likes yogurts/fromage fraise but no way she will eat cheese (picking it even from pizza!)
And even formula she will only drink 5-10 ounces a day at a push - never used to drink more than 3-4 onces in one go.
I'm thinking that this formula she is drinking at least has some additional vitamins, but if i cut it down, will she be getting enough calcium/iron. She is generally a good eater and cheese is probably the only thing she won't eat.
Anyone else had a problem swapping formula for a cow's milk?

This sounds ridiculous, but I assume you've tried weaning her by gradually adding cow's milk?

Mine was EBF, but largely from bottles during the day (I work almost fulltime so expressed) so when she was approaching one, I started cutting it with cow's milk, first only about 50ml in a 200ml bottle, and then increasing it till it was 100% cow.

Or, does she eat yoghurt/cream/etc? Not always necessary to drink lots of milk.

yes, she does eat yogurts and i'm choosing a bigger sized ones.
I tried to add cow's milk into formula to blend it in but she wont drink it then. I suppose it does taste different.

At that age, is there any reason for her to drink milk at all? My youngest hardly ever has milk as an actual drink (he's just turned 2). If your DD is eating yoghurts and other dairy produce then she'll be fine.

But in the end, does it matter if she likes drinking formula? I think it tastes disgusting personally but each to their own! As you said, it's full of vitamins/iron so better than a fruit shoot or can of coke

DD would not drink cows milk aged one. It took us around 2 months to switch her. We tried doing half half etc and she wouldn't touch it.

She was drinking 8oz bottles, so on week 1 we did 7oz formula and 1oz cows milk. Because we changed very slowly, only adding an extra oz of cows milk every week/10 days she gradually got used to the taste of cows milk. Although she was a big milk drinker, was having an 8oz bottle twice a day at a year.

By 2 though they don't need to drink milk at all.

With DS he was happy to drink cows milk instead of formula but would not drink it from a beaker or cup. I tried to take the bottle away at 12 months but this would have meant no milk at all, so I took the bottle away at 18 months, and so he didn't drink much milk. HV said that was ok as was eating yoghurts.

Now aged 4 he loves warm chocolate milk, and is happy to drink milk at nursery.

Thank you all for your advice. I also spoke with HV this morning and understand now that as soon as she is eating other dairy products she is fine without milk as a drink. I add milk to porridge and she eats yogurts so should be ok. Was a bit paranoid about calcium as she is on a short side
