Increasing daytime intake so I can sleep again?!

My 6.5 mo dd has been ebf until very recently. Over the last 3 weeks we have worked on getting her to take formula from a bottle in preparation for my return to work. She will drink formula from the bottle (but only if warmed and from a carton - still refuses the powdered version!) which is a huge relief as she stopped taking ebm from a bottle at about 11 weeks and refused to drink from a bottle until recently.

She has never slept through the night - usually waking 3 times for feeds where she'll bf for between 8 - 10 mins usually. Since giving formula I can see how much (or little) she takes each feed. She will only have about 120 mls (4ozs) in one go. Sometimes she'll finish the feed (another 80 mls) about half an hour later, but other times just isn't interested.

Does anyone have any tips for getting her to drink more in each feed during the day?

Hi, I don't think there's any way to make her drink more at one sitting. She'll just naturally drink untill she's full or too sleepy (in night).
Also the thinking that if she eats more in day it will directly affect her night sleep is wrong. Unfortunately! She'll wake in the night untill she's mentally ready to sleep through. All the physical and mental development that she's doing is what causes her to wake in night.
Having said that. As she is over six months you could give her a small amount of porridge before bed time. But beware not to overload her little stomach as that could have the opposite effect to what you desire!

thanks! we're already doing blw which as yet hasn't had any impact (bad or good) on her sleeping. I thought it was probably one of those - it will sort itself out over time - solutions but thought I'd ask just in case!
