Should I wake 2 week old for night feeds?

This is my third DC and have been "worried" from the start that she is far more sleepy than my other 2 were. She is fully breastfed and i was expecting to be feeding her pretty much round the clock as I did her 2 brothers. She tends to go 2-3 hrs between feeds in the day - occasionally 4 and a little longer at night but sometimes will go 5-6hrs at night which seems ludicrously long! She is gaining weight and seems content, if very sleepy. She is rarely awake for more than 1/2hr a few times a day. Should I worry about her sleepiness? There is no obvious medical cause ie jaundice have resolved, pooing and weeing well.
Should I be setting an alarm to feed her at regular 3-4hr intervals in the night?

I didn't/wouldn't, DS2 has been a champion sleeper from about 2 weeks. 8pm to 4am! (with a few blips).

He feeds every 2 hours or so in the day (with one stretch of 3 in the afternoon usually). I figure the idea is to let them get used to eating through the day and then feed when they need to at night - he just yells if he wants me at night.

I have always let sleeping babies lie!
some babies just get the concept of night sooner than others.
my 1st dc, dd, only EVER woke up once a night for feeds, but was going at least 5-6 hours at a stretch at night form birth, then at 6 weeks was not waking at all

My ds however was a shock as he believed in waking 2-3-4 times a night.

At least you are getting the joy of unexpected sleep after babies who did lots of wakings rather than the shock of waking having previously not had that!

I would be happy to let a newborn miss one feed ie 6-7 hour gap but not any longer than that. So no do't set alarm clock unless problem with weight gain. Enjoy it!

Thanks for your replies. Will try to enjoy it and stop worrying!

If she is gaining good weight, I would not wake her, unless she is sleeping more than say 6hours? It sounds ideal imo! Sounds like she is eating regularly in the day time.

Congratulations on your 3rd baby, and a good sleeper at that!

I think that if she is happy, gaining weight, eating regularly in the day, and you are not worried about her, I would be happy to let her sleep for as long as she wants to at night, even if that is 10 or 11 hours. It may not last, but if it does you are onto a winner.

DS1 never slept for less than 6 hours at night and by about a month he was sleeping right through (7pm-6am). He never slept for a long time in the day (average 45 mins at a time), possibly because I had to wake him often to do the school run etc, but now aged nearly 2 he is a great sleeper, a great eater and generally fine.
