EBF baby jumping centiles, told to limit/spread out feedings.

Baby is gaining "huge" amounts of weight according to HV, gone from 75th centile to just over 98th in 6 weeks, I'm not entirely sure why this is seen as a problem? I couldn't limit/spread out feeds even if I wanted to, she's not exactly cooperative (how many 6 weeks old are?).

This is my 3rd and my other 2 stuck pretty much on their birth centile. Is it a problem that's she jumping centiles or am I getting crap advice?

hey op! well done you! dd moved centiles and she was ebf. tell the hv to poke it and trust your instincts on this one

Ignore the stupid HV. Well done your baby on growing so well, well done you on making gold top milk, and congratulations on the birth!

similar story here with EBF babies - DS was 75th at birth, went up above the 99.6th at 4 months and then tailed off by 6months to land on 91st where he still seems to be at 8 months now. My HV passed comment at 4 months that 'you probably are feeding him a bit too much' but wasn't bothered enough to tell me not to and clearly it's a load of rubbish to try to refuse a 6 week old baby!!

first time round (DS is my second), DD was on the 50th at birth and tailed off to the 25th at 6 months at which point the HV said 'breast milk is very light you know' . i realise that there are lost of v good/nice HVs but they're not always too good on the BF advice front, it would seem!
