DS2 3months and very yummy! Trouble is I seem to be feeding him every 2 hours during the day and he is comfort sucking on and off all night (we co sleep).

Whilst I am getting some sleep he isn't really feeding. During the day he only really wants me and is constantly in seek of boob! His fists and always in his mouth and dribbling...half thought he was teething today!

I am worried as I go back to work part time in September (I know a long way off) and I would have started soilds be then but I worry he is going to be booby addicted! HELP!!!

He may well be teething - DD had two teeth by 16 weeks.

But it's more likely he's going through a growth spurt and trying to boost your milk production.

Don't worry, it will pass in a week or two (I know that sounds like a long time but honestly you will survive this!)

Oh it's fine. I fed DD till she was 3. She had them all by 2. If you try and suck a straight finger you'll realise you don't touch your teeth. It's the same with breastfeeding.

There are different shapes and styles of dummies, so you could try a few different ones. Babies sometimes need encouragement either by holding the dummy in place so they get the idea or by gently half-removing it, encouraging them to suck harder to keep it in place.

I got into dummies after DD started using me as a human pacifier - not great for my nipples or sleep - and she kept throwing up the unwanted milk.

Having said that, dummies are a mixed blessing, if you and your DS can survive happily enough without one, then do so!

We had a BIIIG growth spurt at 3mo - took about a week for things to settle down again.
