Worried 7mo dd isn't feeding frequently enough

The ladies of this forum were so helpful as I prepared to go back to work ft and feed dd in my lunchbreak.

Thing is, dd, who is nearly 7mo has started dropping feeds since she started nursery. First to go was the one when I dropped her off. In the last fortnight, though, she's lost interest in the lunchtime feed and and the one before I drive the commute home. That means she's not bf between 8 and 4.30 every day!

She's offered something to eat lunch and tea but is kind of blw/spoon combo so how much she takes in is a bit hit and miss. Not really interested in water/juice.

She will feed when we get home but only if lying down. A feed before bed and then 2 in the night. WIth the very early morning feed that's only 6 bf in 24 hours. Is that enough for a 7 mo? I thought it was meant to still be the main part of her diet until 12 mo?

Thanks. Starting to live up to my name!

Sorry - should add - she won't touch expressed milk but nursery mix some with breakfast babyrice.

My DS is nearly 8 months and feeds about 6-7 times in 24 hours. So sounds about right as long as they're big feeds, she seems happy and is ok weight wise I wouldn't worry.

Has the nursery tried giving milk from a bottle or cup? It might be worth trying a cup. My DS takes very little from a bottle but will take a bit more from a cup.

He also eats very little solids! BLW and spoon combo.

Cups are makeshift maracas, hammers and teethers according to dd. She'll have a go but drinks very little. Annoying because she'll take milk from dh in a cup or NUK beaker. She's a big girl - above the 100th percentile line. Weird because she's just not that fussed by food!

Thanks for your reply!
