I've completely lost track of time and now she doesn't have a cup of water today. Can I give her tap water - she's 6 months

sunshiney, is that true? 4 years ago I carried cooled boiled water and added the formula as needed and thought that was fine till I read an earlier thread on here. I don't want to put my baby at risk but if what you say is true I won't. Do you have a link I could read? The link snugglejunkie added was really interesting but being anal a scientist I always thought it would be difficult to get the ratio of water to powder right if I added the powder part way through like she does.

I'm breastfeeding at the mo' but might need to know for the future.

You could just measure, say 6oz cooled boiled water in a sterile bottle and get the ratios right that way.

Good point wukter, don't think I'm firing on all cylinders at the moment!
