Is it possible to breastfeed in an Ergo sling?

My friend is due with DC2 in a couple of weeks. I know she is worried about the practicality of being able to breastfeed exclusively with a toddler to run around after too (Her DC1 is 20 months) I know she has got an Ergo and newborn insert and I thought if I could find any good videos/tips/pictures of how to breastfeed in it that might be helpful for her (if it's even possible!)

I never BF DD in our ERGO (we got it when she was a bit older), but they say that you can.

I can currently feed my 13 week DD in it, she's at the right height! She sits upright with the insert behind her, she's a tall baby and I'm small so her legs can wrap round me. She always hated the cradle hold in the sling. I just pop boob out of top, loosen the sholder straps slightly so can slant her body over a bit to one side, it works really well and the insert behind her makes it quite discreet HTH

I fed both mine from very early on (ds was less than a week old) in the way that maygirl describes. I think I used the cradle hold in the very early days then upright. I used to put either the hood or a muslin square over if I was feeling in the need of a bit of discretion. IMHE, how well it works depends on the baby, which your friend won't know in advance. It was great for my dd who fed loads and meant that I could actually get out of the house. My ds is used to doze off more or less as soon as he'd latched on then wake up with trapped wind, so it wasn't as useful.
With a toddler, the little one will also spend quite a lot of time upside down as your friend bends down to scoop up said toddler.
