DD is 12 weeks old and along with having a growth spurt has started waking after her bedtime feed. She was going down very well at night - 8pm asleep and slept through. She is now waking exactly half an hour after she goes to sleep - like clockwork - every night. She makes the most bloodcurdling screams and it sounds as if she is being murdered. She has a small feed at the 8.30pm waking to settle her - then promptly wakes again at 9pm. She suffers from wind quite a bit and I was wondering if it is wind resulting from that last feed that is causing her to wake ? Or if this is standard growth spurt behaviour and I just need to ride it out

sounds like standard growth spurt behaviour to me. sorry. During the evening is when the hormones that make milk are at their highest level in your body - and babies seem to instinctively know that the more they feed during this time, the more milk you will make iyswim.

Hello again! Not stalking you, just feel for all first time mum b.feeders!
That type of crying sounds like it must be the wind that's waking her. I would just do whatever you have to to settle her back down. Winding, feeding, cuddling etc. This will be a phase that passes as she grows.
She may stop sleeping well from now on as most babies seem to change all there good habbits for bad at around 4mths. The lead up to weaning and getting the solids established can be a tough period. Stick with it though!

She seems to have slept through the usual 9pm waking tonight so fingers crossed I am seeing light at the end of the growth spurt tunnel !
