How many BF's does your 8/9 month have?

My DD has gone down to just the one in the morning and a small one in the evening. I attempt to dream feed but she'll either refuse or wont have much. She doesn't take the bottle anymore.

She's getting plenty of dairy from cheese, fromage frais and yoghurt and am also expressing BM to add to her food.

Just wondering how many breastfeeds your little ones are having as I thought 2 BF's at 8 1/2 isnt enough?

My ds is 7.5 months and has about 4 or 5 bf in 24 hours. But then he's always been a snacker and doesn't stay on for very long.

9.5 old ds has a small feed pre lunch if I'm not at work, a bigger one at about 5 and then bedtime one. Mostly dream feeds at 1130, sometimes 0300 and then feeds again on waking at 530 or 6. Don't know if that helps, o think there'll all different really.

I've got almost the opposite... dd (9 months today) hardly eats any solids (blw) and still breast-feeds loads. I mean at least every two hours through the night and more than three-hourly during the day. However, when I have left her (7 hours is the longest) she has managed fine without any milk at all. So I guess for her it's about comfort more than nutrition. Sometimes I find it lovely, other times very annoying!

I think as cheeselover says, they're all so different and we can probably trust them to have what they need, provided we are offering it- which it sounds like you are certainly doing.

Thanks for your replies.

I think I just feel a little sad that she doesn't want to nurse as much anymore, I don't think she'd even notice if I didn't offer it to her. In the first few months she'd feed every 2 hours and I actually miss that! So loopyloo make the most of it

I know she'll have as much as she needs so I just have to go with that, I just have to keep reminding myself!
