We're going to a wedding tomorrow. DD is 9 weeks. I'd and been expressing successfully up to a few days ago, when I was ill, and now I can't seem to express more than a couple of ounces a day . I was planning to give her bottles in the evening and night so that I can have a few drinks. I don't want to get drunk but I'd been looking forward to a few glasses of champers. How much is ok?

My little one is a lot older (10mths now) I usuallty drink no more than what I would drink to drive, as I continue to B/F even if drinking. In the early days I tried expressing, as you have done, and even when I thought I had enough in btls she always needed more so I had to top up with a B/F.
My understanding is that your body will break down the alcohol so a little bit won't stay in your system long and if you only drink a little bit then only a small percentage of a little bit will be passed on the milk so that won't be much at all.
Enjoy the day.

As long as you don't get drunk, you'll be fine. Reading this might help.

How often does she feed overnight? Would probably depend a lot on whether you'll be feeding at 10pm, 2am or 4am.

I was also old as long as you're not intoxicated then baby won't be.
I don't see how a glass of wine when baby's in bed would hurt. You wouldn't get drunk while they were in your care anyway.

Similar to me drinking redbul, which I like to do on long walks, I'll have a can but while I'm on the high (very sensitive to caffeine which is why it's efective) then I'll try not to feed baby for about an hour.

If you do become intoxicated don't think the milk needs pumping and dumping either.
I found out that when you become sober enough to (for example) drive again, then the alcohol in the milk has also been reabsorbed back into your blood stream and disposed of, so next day the milk is okay :-)
