Hello
I have just started BLW, and am loving it!! although we have stalled slightly due to some constipation. I have been offering ds water from cups and glasses with food (and a lot of help) and am still ebf but because of the constipation want to make sure he's getting enough fluid. I was thinking of getting a sippy cup that he could have between solids and bf that he could be a bit more independent with. I have a water bottle that i use all the time which he is fascinated with, i got him a smaller version but its really not suitable.
I was just wondering which are the best? Have ordered a doidy so would like something to go alongside? Ahh baby attacking laP TOP BETTER GO

I have always found the cheap Tommee Tippee ones very good, no valves so the water flows freely (which is not great when they discover they can tip it upside down and pour it everywhere, but if only water not too much trouble) and the top flips down to stop it leaking in bags etc.

Also they are sold nearly everywhere, and the lids are interchangeable so easy to wash etc.

I agree the Tommee Tippee ones that are a couple of quid are the best.

Fab thank you- that is my job for tomorrow saw some at supermarket today but wanted to make sure they were good first. Just scared ds silly trying to whizz up some 'dam buster' spread. He launched the wooden spoon he'd happily been chewing on across the kitchen and screamed when i turned the blender on- not sure how this fits into my home made everything plan, but it was quite cute.

I agree re cheap Tommy Tippee - by far the best we've had & still going strong after more than 2 years!

I taught DD to fold the flip top up/down as required, from when she first used it (when BLW too) and she actually does it most of the time.

Another vote here for tommee tippee cups! We've started trying to give milk in cups during the day for my 8 month old DS (he's been bf until now). He's never managed to get the idea of sucking a bottle, so have now decided to go straight to cups and he seems to be doing ok with them! DD had these, too and always liked them over the non-spill cups.

Yep Tommy Tippie or Tesco cheap brand. The expensive ones contain valves and don't work unless the baby actually sucks, which if anything like mine they won't suck it unless its a bottle. Free flow much better, but perhaps buy some larger bibs whilst your at it - lots of dribble!!

Yes I also love the Tommee Tippee cups, Asda also do a similar cup even cheaper.
These are the first stage cups. I also used a doidy cup as well, but the TT cups are handy for out and about and times when ds wasn't in his highchair, as he loves to tip cups and empty them everywhere!

IMO the ones they have to suck are just the same as bottles, and should be ditched after 12mo. Can't see the point in the myself.
