WW is brilliant for lsing weight whilst bfing. I lost 2 and a half stone after DD1 to get back to being a size 10 and a bit less after DD2. Both times i used the online programme as i did not have time / access / childcare to attend meetings (although i knew how the programmw worked already).
So, on normal WW, if you have less than about 2-3 stone to lose, you are entitled to eat 18 points a day (you get more points to start with if you have a lot more weight to lose). On the bfing programme, if you are exclusively bfing (no formula, no solids), you get an extra 10 points. So total per day is 28. Which is actually loads! If you are doing some formula feeds and / or solids, then you get 5 extra points per day.
If you can stick to it, it will work! I loved it, felt like it was a way of getting my life into shape because really quickly i could wear my pre-pregnancy jeans and skirts. It was a useful boost to me when i was feeling swamped by motherhood, esp first time round. I had no peace, bfing all the time (or so it felt), no career (chose to be SAHM), lost former status that went with the job etc etc......but at least i looked like me!
Btw, online, i don't think they give details about thebfing ptogramme as i think they think it is too sensitive and bfing mothers might misinterpret it and not eat enough (or something ) but if you ring them, theycan advise you over the phone. There's not much more to it than what i have outlined above IIRC, but you might want to doublecheck.
It was the La Leche League who suggested WW to me. I went to a meeting and whinged that i hated being unable to get into my old jeans and the groupleader (4 children, slim and gorgeous) looked at me like i was dim and said, 'why don't you try a moderate diet and increase your exercise?'. I was under the impression bfing meant you couldn't diet, but she disabused me of that pronto. And mighty glad i was too to get her support for a diet as plenty of people (read: my mum) insisted the baby would shrivel up and suffer if i did not stuff my face with thick buttered toast, jam, porridge etc every day for breakfast.
Good luck.
