Oversupply and flat nipples - help!

I have a three week old ds. He is gaining weight fast so no issues with him, the problem is that I have fairly flat nipples and boobs that over produce this causes a circular problem in that boobs get v full and ds has even more difficulty getting latched, then he gets sprayed and chokes, and continues to have difficulty latching. He does get on eventually and feeds very well but it does leave me with sore nipples. I also pour from the none feeding breast at each feed (I can fill 100ml bottle) and I am worried that I will never be able to feed in public.
I have been one sided feeding since day one so the stuff I have read on oversupply suggests I am already doing the right thing.
Ds feeds every 4 hours or so and for 40 mins each time.
Any tips gratefully received

First thing that springs to mind is that going 4 hours between feeds is a really long time! In my experience most BF newborns go 2-3 hours? Also surely expressing at each feed is keeping up oversupply? I may be wrong though. Bumping thread for you anyway, someone more qualified thane will hopefully read this!

Not expressing at each feed just collecting what comes out naturally. He only seems to want to feed that often four hours is from start of one feed to next. Thanks mrs jamin

I had exactly the same problem and am still feeding my ds,2. In my expereince it got a lot easier as his mouth got bigger, and the over supply was sorted out by the growth spurts. Once I got past the 6week spurt my breasts were much softer as the supply sorted itself out and latching on was much easier for him. BY the way my nipples are no longer that flat either.

I was about to start typing about feeding frequency and feeding positions, but then thought...hey, why not read it all here!

Hope that this helps, it is a really good website.
