  1. Is it normal to lactate a little during sex? We braved it for the first time over the weekend (6 weeks and 4 days post-birth!), there was no nipple-play (ahem...) but it just seemed to happen.
  1. On a less intimate note, over the last couple of weeks I have noticed that I am really feeling the let-down reflex on the other side when I feed. ie. feeling it on the side baby is not feeding from. Well, I guess I'm feeling it on both sides. But is that weird???

Ok, those are my unusual questions.

  1. Yes, in the early days usually stops happening.
  1. There is actually several let down refles during a feed. Some women feel them, other don't, normal either way

  1. 6 wks 4 days I'm impressed. I still can't face it after 10wks! I used to lactate a little during sex while pregnant so can't wait to find out what happens post birth!

2.I often feel a strong let-down on the side DS isn't feeding from too. Seems to be normal.

  1. yes
  1. Normal. Some people hardly feel let down and others do. I found let down very painful for the first few months, especially on the side that wasn't being used. Still can be painful unless dd is feeding.

  1. Yes - a friend of mine used to squirt her OH in the eye when they were doing it. One of the reasons she stopped bf IIRC!
  1. Yes - I used to have to soak through the breast-pad on the "other" side, or use a spare muslin to catch the excess. Only for the first couple of months though.

Good luck!
