Infacol - indefinite/long term use?

Hi all,

Been giving Infacol to my 9 week old DS for the past week now but only just starting to see some relief of symptoms (we have got through a few feeds now without screaming and head throwing drama)

My question is am I now supposed to continue using it and is that how it is intended to be used? If I stop using it will symptoms return? Would you have expected it to take a week to have some effect?

Many Thanks

Yes, it takes a while to build up in their system, and therefore to work. We used it for a few weeks and phased it out around 3 months, by which time the DC didn't need it anymore anyway. You'll be fine. Take one day at a time...

Can anyone point me to any research that says Infacol does anything that time and patience doesn't?

Would love to see it

Well I must admit I did wonder anotherbearlover. Am aware it could be that it hasn't been having any effect at all and things would have got better anyway, same could be said of many other remedies/treatments etc..
I was sceptical but HV suggested trying it, which after about 4 weeks of hassle at feeding time i decided to give it a go and it appears to be working...
