Basically as above. I ache all over and earlier was incredibly shivery and just couldn't get warm. I do have a sore throat though which makes me think cold/flu (but I had my flu jabs swine and normal and I dint usually ache so bad with colds). There are no obvious signs of a blocked duct or tenderness in breast (other than near armpit but that's lymph nodes and general infection again. Anyhow I am probably just ill (crap with a 6week old to look after!) but thought I should double check with wisdom of mumsnet.

It doesn't sound like mastitis, I think you need to have sore boobs for that. Sore throat doesn't fit with mastitis.

You can still get a 'flu after having the jab, I'm afraid. They don't provide 100% coverage, and they only cover for the bugs that everyone expects will be coming around this winter, iyswim.

Do you have much help? If possible, you should be snuggling with baby, and feeding baby, and doing nothing else.

You could just be coming down with a nasty bug, not necessarily the flu but the symptoms you describe can be caused by any nasty virus that causes your temperature to increase, especially if you are run down in general.

The pain near your armpit could be a sign of mastitis as breast tissue goes right back to the arm pit.

You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen alternating for your temperature and ashes and pains.

well DH is home as its weekend so bed with baby for me then! Yeah it probably is a bug rather than mastitis but yuk I feel gross- no cold or anything yet just incredibly achy eveything hurts!

We have run out of paracetamol in the house (after I took am all for postnatal pains!) but have some iburofen and will send DH out for more!

Hope you are feeling better soon. If in doubt at all, contact your GP.
