Advice needed for this evening, please!

I'm off out this evening (for the first time since giving birth - woohoo!) leaving 7 week old DS (exclusively BF) with his grandma. I expect I'll be out 4-5 hours in total.

Earlier in the week I expressed enough for 2 bottles and put in freezer, currently thawing out in the fridge.

Can anyone advise best plan of action for tonight? I thought I would feed DS just before I go out (whether he is hungry or not), then he can have a bottle or 2 when he needs it (he's had bottles of EBM before and happy to take them)...but would this affect my supply? Would I then need to pump when I get back?!
Or is a one-off missed feed likely to cause supply problems?

ANy advice appreciated.

Sounds like a good plan to me and doubt one missed feed will affect supply. If you get uncomfortable you could express when you get back, or if you want to save the extra milk for your next night out!

Have a good night! I've got a 6 week old and I'm planning to escape for a couple of hours maybe next week so i'll be interested to hear how you get on.

Thanks all for responses.

I had a good time - was out for 5 hours in the end and even managed a glass of fine wine...

It worked out pretty well, I fed just before leaving and then again on coming back, and DS had a bottle of expressed milk halfway through the evening.

I did have to pump after the late night feed as I was ridiculously swollen. That was a faff, but otherwise ok.

GracieGirl, enjoy your time out! If it's only 2 hrs, would you get away with a feed just before and after? (I guess with a newborn you never know...)
