Going abroad and bottle feeding

I'm bottle feeding my DS and wondering the logistics of travelling abroad some time this year for a holiday.

How is this done whilst bottle feeding? What clobber do I need to take? Is it just all of his feeding stuff? How do I sterilise stuff if there is no microwave. And what if there is no kettle to make up the formula? Can I buy formula abroad?

Just wondering how other people manage it.

Where are you going?

If you click on the country you are travelling to here, it will say if your normal formula is available in that country.

You can take cold water sterilising fluid or tablets (the fluid is easier to make up small quantities I find) - most chemists/supermarkets sell this.

You could take a travel kettle.

Haven't booked anything yet. I'm too scared to until I have the logistics straight in my head. If we go anywhere it will either be France or Italy or the USA.

Well, I'm in Italy and lots of people use formula. The only thing I'd say is it is phenomenally expensive here so I'd bring your usual brand.

Kettles are a bit hard to find as well.
