DD2 is 6 days old and the midwife has just been to weigh her. I was expecting the usual loss although her output has been great. She's put on 5oz! I've been full of the baby blues for the last day or so and it was just the boost I needed After so many problems establishing feeding with DD1 I'm so chuffed that it's going so well with DD2. As you were

Most people don't think you are disgusting at all. Please don't feel like that. They are just confused by anything other than societal norm. You aren't responsible for others hang ups.

You are doing an amzing thing for DD1 and I firmly believe that it prevented any sibling rivalry with my two when DD2 was born last April.

The main HV at our childen's centre finds me baffling for the same reason. She gets short shrift.

I'm so sorry you feel upset. Please don't let her ignorance cloud your day. We all think you are fabulous.

Thanks I haven't had any criticism in so long as it doesn't really come up in conversation any more so I've lost my thick skin. It has been helping DD1 when she's feeling a bit fragile although she hasn't been feeding loads yet as I had expected. As if I'd take it away 8 days after she got a new sister! I don't mind people thinking anything about how I parent but she was so rude and I am too hormonal. May mention it to the (v supportive) NCT counsellor/hv who attends the babycafe I go to, there's no need for making women feel so crap.

Oh yes, definitely mention it.

As an aside, have you seen this about an upcoming webchat?

That's great, so looking forward to that!
