I've already posted about my DD's bad sleeping habits but now her feeding is getting tricky. She is getting fussy about her feeds. Yesterday I fed her at 7am which was fine. Every time I tried to feed around 11ish when she was crying she refused and cried when I tried to get her latched on. She didn't feed until 12.15 and then only short one. She had another short feed at 2.30 but then I couldn't get her to feed until 7.30 after that.

She fed ok twice in the night but after 3am she just wouldn't settle for longer than about 30mins. Something seems to be waking her. She writhes around stretching her neck out. Could this be some sort of reflux? During the day she doesn't cry much and is generally a very happy baby. Every night is pretty much like this. Once we get to about 3am she is completely unsettled. Anyone been through something similar?

Not the sleeping thing but the feeding I have. Dd would only feed in bed! She stopped feeding altogether at 3.5 months she would go completely rigid even hv couldn't get her to bend and latch on and feed! Had horrendous 2days till I finally gave up cos she was crying, ds was crying and I was crying!! She still not big on milk now can barely get her to have milk at bedtime.

Get to bf clinic or ring bf network might be in your area! Try get as much help as poss from everywhere!

Could be wind, teeth, thrush in her mouth, tummy ache!

Fingers crossed you work it out. You doing brill

Does she still sleep? She fed much better yesterday and we had a reasonable night's sleep but not doing so well at feeding today. She cries as soon as I point her anywhere near my boob! Anyone else had this?

3 months might still seem a bit young for teething, but both my DCs started with teething grumblings at this stage, so it may be that it's her gums bothering her - even though it'll be a couple of months before they cut through. Could you try some teething powders and teething gel to see if it makes a difference and give her a cold teething ring/ cold wet flannel to chew on? - both mine have been really soothed with ashton and parsons powders (fairly cheap from the chemist - homeopathic, so non-drug based). teething gel can be tricky to get on them, but I find putting some on a baby toothbrush then gently rubbing the gums helps - but you might struggle to get her to open her mouth for long enough with this (bit messy too!). the teething powder you just pop on their tongue - I tend to wet my finger, dab it on then it goes straight on their tongue - works wonders for my two.

teething can affect their gums when feeding and cause pain, so this might be worth a go until you can speak to your GP/HV to rule out any other cause.
