GA and Painkillers

Hi,
I know there's been a recent thread about this (which I found useful) but I have some other questions that I hope someone can help me with.
I'm due to have an op in a few weeks - major surgery but hopefully only one night in hospital. My 9 months old ds won't take a bottle but during my recent 10 day stay in hospital, my dh was able to spoon a bit of formula into him and bring him in twice a day to bf which was sufficient both for his needs and my supply.
Does anyone know how long milk supply lasts once it's established if baby doesn't actually bf? (I can't get any milk out with a pump anymore but was hand expressing a couple of times a day whilst in hospital which seemed to boost supply). Is not feeding for 36 hours possible?
Also, what painkillers are safe to take whilst bf?
My op is at an extremely busy London hospital and it's really difficult to get hold of anyone there. Is it okay to wait to ask at Pre-assessment next week and on the day of the op or do I need to let them know in advance?
Thanks!

It was business as usual for DS2 when I got back from a long weekend (three nights) away when he was not quite two. He was down to a couple of feeds at night and in the morning by that time. Good luck.

There is a similar(ish) thread on general health, and the mum in question spoke to the infant feeding coordinator at the hosp who sorted out a side room so she could feed, maybe have a look there? And see if there is feeding coordinator at hosp?
I would try to plan ahead rather than leave it to last min to be honest.

After my CSs I was prescribed Diclofenac and Paracetamol which was highly effective painkilling cocktail. And early on after the birth of DS1 when my epidural line fell our I was given a shot of morphine.

I had oramorph after my cs (had GA)as well as diclofenac and paracetamol. I needed two doses of the oramorph as I found the diclofenac and paracetamol weren't cutting it. But I think the afterpains were exacerbating the pain and as I was expressing a lot I was getting more uterine pain.

I think you need to avoid things like nurofen plus as it can cause constipation in you and the baby.
