I took DS1 to the paediatrician today and whilst I was there asked him about whether I need to be dairy free before having DC3 in about 4 weeks time as both my others are dairy intolerant. Apparently not, but if I give formula to go straight to hypoallergenic one but I said that wasn't a consideration at this point and he turned to DS and said "I like your mum, she breastfeeds, you're a lucky boy". Can't wait to get started again now.

He is such a great doctor, I really rate him. I also asked him about tongue tie after reading on here about it and asked him if he cuts it and he doesn't but says that he has an ENT man who does and just to email him for the details if I find that I need them. Just small things which can make a big difference.

Oh how lovely :-)

I took DS into hospital at 8-9 months with suspected meningitus, I got loads of praise from the pediatrician for still breastfeeding :-)
I think it was a saviour though, he was so ill he wouldn't take anything else.
It feels good to be able to give the boob when they're ill, full of antibodies, pain releif, sleeping aids, probably more..'

SOME of them are really not with it though when it though.
A later one we saw when he was 14 months and I mentioned him still BF said 'is he not starting to eat real food yet'?
Like BF was just for under 6mos.
I said of course, he eats the same as me, and BFs.
