Problem with breasts/bras, putting me off bf-ing

My breasts are out of control. I had to go into maternity bras at 8 weeks as I just couldn't cope with wearing "normal" ones any more, and I have gone up about 4 cup sizes already at 30wks.I was an F cup to begin with

I have had real problems finding any suitable bras to wear, I am only a 32 back so not many manufacturers even make anything that might fit me. I've got a couple of nice bras (Hotmilk) off the internet but there has been no stock since xmas in any size that might fit.

DO NOT TELL ME TO TRY BRAVISSIMO - I already have and they first tried to sell me an incredibly uncomfortable bra that forced my breasts about five inches out to the sides and then a size 36 that gave no support whatsoever (was riding up round my neck at the back - expert fitters my ar*e) as they couldn't bear to admit they had nothing that fitted.

People keep telling me "oh they'll get even bigger when your milk comes in!" To be honest I can't see myself coping with them any bigger than they are, it's not the breasts so much as the thought of not having a bra to wear - how will I go out? I'll be so uncomfortable and it's making me think that I don't know if I can bear the thought of another six months of it.

PLEASE can someone suggest somewhere I can buy a bra????? I will pay £££££££££, I am DESPERATE.

Anita underwired saw my 32gs for sixteen months and still going strong although I now also wear normal underwired

Thanks everyone, I have one of those Bravado bras and it is great but the funbags are getting a bit too big for it now...if only they did +++.Back size isn't a problem, or not in a too-tight way, got loads of room in the bras I do have, it's all about the frontage.

Will try phoning a few stockists and see if I can get hold of another Hotmilk bra, then will see what the NCT and my usual bra shop can do. Unfortunately the styles that Bravissimo has are just not going to fit, the cups are too wide if you see what I mean, I have tried ALL of theirs on and it's not just about the size, I seem to have expensively shaped knockers that only like bras over £50 at the best of times.

I think you might only be allowed to have big jebs if you are rich and live in London no good for poor northern folk like me then.

have you tried amplebosom.com?

JUst wanted to say, the bigger ones do tend to not get too much bigger when the milk comes in! I was an F at at the start of each pg (except the first, had normal, D cup boobies pre-any kids), went up to an H by the end, then have gone back down to the F by 2 months into feeding.

Since about 4 months I have been wearing Lepel balconette underwired bras, they are only about £22 but they do only go up to an H IIRC.

I also had some wonderful stretchy comfy things - these which were fab for the early days and nighttimes, but a little... erm... matronly. All the best xx

I found the NCT ones horrible. They made my norks look really droopy with no support and hating the way I looked and felt contributed to me giving up feeding ds1 at 9 weeks.

This time I've got a couple of Anita underwired ones for day and use the hideous NCT ones for nightime. I don't feel as confident about my shape as when I'm not pg/bf'ing as I rely on good scaffolding (I'm a 30FF then, a 32H at the mo) but I'm feeling comfotable enough to still be feeding ds2 at 13 weeks.

Envie were very helpful in finding me the right size.

Good luck.

I just sold three 32G maternity bras on Ebay!

I am a 32FF now and that is post breast reduction

The last few days the puppies seem to be a bit smaller somehow, going on how my bras fit. I feel loads more positive now, thank you to all of you. I will update with any recommendations as and when I have them!

American site here -- I don't know if they deliver abroad, but they have a huge range of sizes (up to 50 something) I believe.

Once your milk comes in and bfing is established, your boobs will go back to a reasonable size. They only feel like watermelons for a few days at most.

I was an M cup when I was pregnant. Cried a lot over this too. Bravissimo told me they didn't do nursing bras in my size and referred me to John Lewis. They had one (a Royce) which was about the right cup size but was an awful fit on me personally - pushed down and out to the sides, flat in front. The best I found (which still wasn't perfect) was the NCT comfort bra. I ordered dozens of different ones online and through NCT (and tried an NCT fitter who was useless) and this was the most comfortable. I'm still using it 10 months on, which amazes even me as when I was trying them on I felt I wasn't comfortable for 5 mins let alone months!

I had a normal bra altered to add a strap/drop down clips for feeding for my wedding, so it can be done, but as I'm sure you're aware, there are mixed views about whether underwires are a good idea when bfing. I've had several bouts of mastitis when I haven't worn an underwired bra and then worn one for the odd night out and not had a problem so I suspect it depends on how susceptible you are.
