Red book - has your surgery recorded how you're feeding?

My DD5 has had her vaccinations, as usual, at 8, 12 and 16 weeks. The nurse filled in the page in the red book about the jabs, but ignored the boxes to tick about whether she was being breastfed fully, partially or not at all. She didn't say a word about it. If they've bothered to print the page that way, why aren't they collecting the information? Isn't it worth their while spending a few seconds gathering this data?

I tick the boxes in advance, and fill out stuff like the height charts myself too. The HV's don't like it very much, but the book is my resource as well as theirs.

The nurse has never filled in those boxes on DDs red book, in fact she has never asked about feeding. I ticked them myself after her 16 week jabs.

did 1st trime with DS, haven't this time with DD but the HV did ask me if it was going OK last time (~20wks)

when ds went for his hearing test at 7 mths, the health visitor automatically ticked the "bottle fed" box in the red book. When I pointed out that she had done this without asking me,she said"well you're not still breasfeeding are you"(this was not really said as a question, rather a way of saying who would still be breastfeeding at this age IYKWIM)
When I said "yes I am actually"she looked at me as if I had 2 heads and changed the entry in the book but didn't mention it again.

They don't actually 'gather' this data - it's just in the red book, for the reference of any other HCPs you deal with before your child is 5. I can sorta understand why a MW might not be too bothered about the information as your child gets bigger ...

DS had his first jabs at 13 months (rather not discuss this thanks) and the nurse looked at the box, was a bit confused as she evidently didn't know what to put. Had a similar reaction to exBrummie's HV actually! I said I was still breastfeeding and he had no other milk so she put fully breastfed, but it was probably irrelevant at that stage anyway.
