What age can you stop giving toddlers their formula growing up milk ?

No need for infant formula of any sort after the child's first birthday.

As far as I know any time after they are 1 they can have ordinary full-fat cow's milk to drink, no need for the toddler milk at all if you don't want to give it.

hopefully someone can confirm this or otherwise?

Growing up milk is just a gimmick really and not necessary at all. But formula can be dispensed with after 12 months and cows milk given.

cross post oops!

agree, no need for formula after the age of 1. It's a marketing ploy!

sorry x-post!

I totally agree with everyone else . No need to give it.

1+ formula is a total con, full milk is fine as a main drink from age one, assuming the child has no issues with milk protein / lactose obviously.

They don't need it at all and never have. It's a marketing con created so that formula manufacturers could get their brand noticed after they were banned from advertising 1st stage milk.

Just look at the ingredients. It's chock full of vitamins and minerals and iron, but they aren't naturally present in milk. Real food and cows milk is so much healthier than this growing up milk shit, which is essentially a fortified milkshake.

Give cows milk. And give a vitamin spupplement if you genuinely have doubts about your ability to give your toddler real food.

Thanks to you all. You have saved me a fortune. I am quite satisfied that my toddler is getting everything that she needs from a varied diet. She only has milk when she wakes up and I am concerned that it is affecting her appetite at breakfast.
