My 9 month old won't take a bottle before bedtime

Hi

I stopped b/feeding my son when he was 8 months and he took to a bottle eventually, but it was a struggle. He is nearly 10 months old now and is completely uninterested in taking a bottle before bedtime. I usually feed him (solids) around 4.45 to 5pm, so I'm thinking he might got for the bottle around 7pm or 7.15, but no!
He eats solid food very well and he'll have 6 - 7 oz of formula in a bottle in the morning and about 3 - 5 oz in the afternoon. He's fine about the morning bottle, a bit fickle and uneager about the afternoon bottle and it's generally a no-hoper about the evening one! He always happily b/f before I put him in his cot at night, so I realise he's not keen on having a bottle. I tried different types of formula and am just pleased he's taking any at all, to be honest, as at first it was a mare changing over to a bottle.
At most he has about 12 oz I think during the day. He doesn't (generally) wake in the night and sleeps through until 7am. If he does wake, it's not about hunger ever.
The v helpful health visitor I've spoken to says not to worry as he can get his nutrients from the solids I'm feeding him (and he is on a v healthy balanced diet that's for sure). I've wondered if I'm feeding him too much, but I tried giving him less (as I was putting 2 oz formula in his dessert at teatime), but he still won't accept it.
If other people have had this experience and want to share what they've done or not done, that would put my mind at rest.
Thanks.

If they're sleeping through the night and not taking a bottle at bedtime you are one lucky lucky lady! Just give him some warm milk in a sucky cup at dinner, and lots of calcium rich foods and desserts.

I personally wouldn't worry. But some other mums netter might have a plan for you.
