what happens to your milk supply when a growth spurt is over?

I never had to worry about that with ds because i always had such a rubbish supply, this time i've got so much and starting to worry about what happens when a growth spurt is over. I've already noticed a big increase in my supply today but dd is feeding non stop so its not a problem but am i going to have boobs like zeppelins when she's over this growth spurt?

I find that I leak more than normal for a couple of days but that my body then re-adjusts and produces less milk and I'm back to normal. If my breasts are really full, I express some off but just do enough to make myself comfortable rather than the equivalent of a feed. From a practical perspective, its worth wearing breast pads and I also put a towel on top of the mattress as DD tends to cut out the night feed and I can leak quite a lot at night before I notice.
Good luck with the growth spurt!

It all settles down again, I don't think you supply actually goes down, your body just readjusts to making more milk.
I was told the baby feeds frequently during a growth spurt to stimulate your milk supply, then it increases in line with supporting a bigger baby...

I think that they slow down their feeding more gradually so it isn't such a shock
