My DD2 has just started having aptamil 3 for her 2.30pm milk feed. She is 10 months and still has a BF 6.30 am and 6.30pm but as I'm returning to work and don't really want to express would like her to have a formula feed then.

Since weaning at 5.5 months she has had formula as milk for porridge etc.. so unsure of exact cause.

This week tho she has been really unsettled sleeping off and on being held, passing wind, sleeping, waking in pain, held, passing wind etc.. we've just been experiencing bad nights due to teething, tooth no.6 and went from sleeping through in Sept to interuptted nights since.

Should i try new formula? she drinks it from a doidy or a basic tommy tippee cup with a snack- otherwise she's not interested.

I should add it's really hard to get her to drink water with meals but no probs in nappy dept!!

Sorry for long-winded thread, any suggestions really appreciated!

i should add interupted nights since sept were teething, wind was not obvious cause and she really cries as if in pain!
When teething she continued to cry even when held, this time with the wind she seems to be soothed by warmth / being upright when held..

Doesn't sound like the aptimal if she has had in food anyway.

Why Aptimal 3 though? Do you feel she needs the extra calories?

I had DS take Aptimal from 5 months through to one year and stuck to the first one. Just wondering if it's that but don't think so.

Have you tried using Dr Browns bottles for wind?

I have no other idea's why she is unsettled in evenings though as there can be a multitude of things.

The main one Id look at - is she getting enough of a nap during the day. If day sleep is poor then night sleep becomes effected. I had this problem with DS too after he was so good and someone told me this little bit of wisdom. It worked when I made sure he had a few naps a day and one in his cot at lunch time.

Good luck.

Thank u for taking time to post

DD2 is 10 months so moved onto aptamil 3 because of age but think 1 is ok too.

She has 30-40 mins sleep in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon, any more and she wakes at 5.30 am!! For DD1 she slept more in day and very well at night.

I do think the wind is dietary just trying to pin point what..

The Dr Browns bottles sounds good, think i saw a training cup by them. She has never drunk from a bottle so we'll see

Thank u again!
