Yes I know, sounds stupid. I am BF my 2nd DC and this time I seem to have tons of foremilk???

Reason I think this...she chokes on it and it comes out too fast which deoesn't help her reflux.

She is gulping and drinking really fast for a good 20 mins which seems odd.

She then comes off to burp then getting her back on due to reflux is frustrating to put it mildly. She fuses and screams and comes on and off but wont give in, she's desperate to get on. I know this is due to reflux but no matter how long she feeds the milk still seems thin and watery. I remember what hind milk looks like from feeding DS but never see it now.

I am putting her back on same breast until finished but it never seems finished completely by time she falls asleep or gives in.

Oh and I also never ever see the slow contented feed I used to get at the end with DS.

Any ideas?

have you tried expressing a bit first to get to some hindmilk? My friend had to do that.

How old is she? It could be a forceful letdown (I think that is the term?) - I think it's unlikely that she wouldn't be getting any hind milk at all, maybe it just doesn't leak as freely. Hopefully someone will come along soon who knows better than I do! I will find some links for you in the meantime.

Breast produces only one type of milk - foremilk and hindmilk are confusing and often misunderstood. This sounds as if it could be over-generous supply, whenismydayoff.

Onesided, sometimes called block, feeding, is worth exploring as a first option and is easier than messing about with expressing

Check archives for details - it means using one breast only within the same four-five hour period.
