what bottle warmer for ebm?

Giving DS one bottle of EBM last feed of an evening before sleep (11pm ish). Currently heating in bowl of hot water, not ideal.

Would like something small to take a bottle by the side of my bed ready to just turn on and go.

I am currently using avent bottles, not for any other reason than they were on offer at the time!

might be a silly q but will your DS have it cold?
DS would have his at any temp - i'd hate for you to buy something that ended up being unnecessary expense & hassle

PavlovtheCat · 28/01/2010 15:13

No, unfortunately, have tried and he will not take it anywhere remotely like room temp, it has to be warm and as it starts to cool, he won't take it. Fussy ol fuss pot he is! I would prefer not to heat it at all!

ah, just wanted to check. sorry!
I think DS would have been quite happy to have his as a milk pop

Well, if it's Avent bottles you're using, I'd get an Avent bottle warmer? There are some very cheap ones on ebay.

I just use a bowl of hot water though.

PavlovtheCat · 28/01/2010 19:59

longtalljosie see that logic did not pass me by, but, then, we only have a couple of avent bottles, and might well get another type if it is on offer, did not know if they are bottle specific or if you can get generic ones, or what. I have been on ebay, there are a few different ones, and i got confused! Did not know if there was some superduper one that could warm it in seconds that i did not know about

I shall buy the avent one then, can pick it up for £4 or so inc postage.

I like the idea of water in a bowl. But i have been known to step on it in the middle of the night and knock it over! Also, bit of a pain if i am asleep then have to get up and out of bed to heat water etc at 11pm when I am doing it (hopefully DH will do it more often than not).

stleath if only! But to be honest i don't care how he wants it, as long as he takes it! DD did not take a bottle at all. So this is a bonus!

Sorry if that sounded a bit = I didn't mean it that way!

My DH always does the midnight feed though - he's naturally a bit of a night owl and rarely goes to be before 12.30 anyway so it makes sense. So he's using a bowl of water, but in the kitchen which is easier...

I used to take a flask of hot water up to bed with me.

personally i would microwave it.
bottle warmers or bowls of hot water just take forever
