Stopping breastfeeding without engorgement etc

DS is 15 months, and has been having just one feed a day (first thing in the morning) for a couple of months now. The last couple of weeks he hasn't been interested though, and it feels right to stop trying. It feels a bit weird but I only intended to breastfeed until 12 months so I'm really happy with how we've done.

Am I likely to get engorged/infection etc? It's only been one small feed a day for a long while now, and he's hardly had anything for a fortnight (and nothing for several days now). Will my milk just dry up naturally, I guess it's been as gradual as possible anyway?

And are my breasts likely to change shape at all now, or just gradually change back to being filled with fat rather than milk?! It's just that they were huge at first, but now are smaller than before I was pregnant, which is a bit annoying!

IME, your milk will just dry up. I have stopped feeding with all 3 of my DDs like this, and had no problems. Sorry to say, though, my boobs remained as they were at the end of bfeeding, which is in quite a sorry state really.....
