Weaning - link with posseting/being sick?

I've posted this in the weaning topic too as I'm not sure where it fits best.

DD2 is just over 6 months and has been on solids now for about 3 weeks. She's very happy to give it all a try and is munching down a fair bit. However she has started posseting quite a bit - I'd say at least once or twice a day and usually after a bf rather than food. I regard it as posseting rather than vomiting as it just pops out, like a newborn would do, rather than involving a stomach heave like vomiting would - hope that description makes sense! She feeds about 3 times during the day so not many milk feeds (tho' she more than makes up for it at night!). I'm not sure if it's linked and it doesn't seem to bother her. But I'm just being a paranoid mother and was wondering whether this was an indicator of anything? An intolerance to something? Is she eating too fast/much? I'd be surprised as we're doing BLW so it's all her own pace. Or maybe just linked with the fact she is also beginning to be mobile so rolling over etc on a full tummy just brings some back up? Sorry, it is a dumb question but I've noticed it enough to be slightly concerned.

I found with both of mine that when they ate too much, they did that in the early days of weaning. Perhaps ease back on solids and increase milk, as at this age you're not meant to be reducing milk as yet, as far as I am aware. Perhaps that's why they're feeding more at night, to get their fluids when they're not full of solids? Just a thought? But I could be wrong.

But some other MN may have another tip for you.

Thanks T&C. She should feed more during the day, would probably help at night - she feeds 5/6 times at night! I have a 2 year old and between me running around after DD1 and DD2 being fascinated by her big sister, I think DD2 "forgets" to feed during the day so makes up at night But you're right, I should be a bit more conscientious about it.
Thanks for your reply, I know it was a really dumb PFB question.

It's not dumb! I bet someone else who see's this may have some great advice for you, give it a few hours!

I have 17 months between my 2 little one's and know exactly what you mean, I had to hide in bedroom to feed my second child in the quiet often and leave poor child number 1 watching CBeebies! Its always tricky with 2 little ones.

Fingers crossed someone else comes along with some tips for you x
