How many bottles/cups at 1?

Hi

I am after some advice please. My lo has just turned one and I am a bit unsure of what I should be doing!

He has been formula fed since 3 months and has been happy with his bottles. We have been doing baby led weaning since 6 months and he is eating very well - pretty much everything and anything.

He is currently having Aptimal #3 formula twice a day - oddly as night feeds (7.30 pm) and a dream feed at about 11pm. He used to have a milk feed mid morning too but I have substituted that with a sippy cup of cows milk which he drinks about 3 sips of!

I am happy to carry on the 2 night feeds, partly because my husband does the 11pm one before bed and I much prefer that to me having to get up at 3am!, but am wondering if the cows milk mid morning was the right way to go. My lo starts back at nursery tomorrow and I need to know what to tell them. (I am guessing that but need reassurance!)

Can anyone advice/reassure me please? My lo seems quite happy but I am not sure I can ask my nursery to offer a cup of milk in the morning (can I?)

TIA

Hi I'm sure you can ask your nursery to do anything within reason as all children are different. My DS is almost 2 and has a bottle of cowa milk morning and night I will prob swap to a cup soon but he really enjoys his boc boc as he calls it, so I won't take it away from him, I think you should just do whatever makes you and your LO happy. There is a LO at my DS child minder who brings her bottle in the morning its not a problem

Thanks. I might explain to them that I have been trying to drop the morning bottle but might include a carton and bottle in his bag just in case.

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah if it makes you feel better just provide it and there will be no problem.Don't worry if you are doing the right things sounds like you are doing a great job just go with what your baby and you want

Thanks very much. My hv is pretty useless so it's nice to have reassurance ...
