30 mins? 1 hr? nothing at all?

DS has taken only 10ml out of 60ml of ebm, one of my first lots. Can i save it in case he wakes, which he might well do in the next 30 mins or so?

Can you pop it in the fridge? It should be OK in there for a while.

IIRC, 24 hours in the fridge, 1 month frozen, I wouldn't use it out of the fridge if it's been out longer then 30 mins.

How's the ankle/foot?

PavlovtheCat · 10/01/2010 23:38

so it will be ok in the fridge for longer than 30 mins even if it has been nibbled at...i did not make that clear, its in a bottle, he drank from it.

fluffy - my ankle is very strange. I confess to still not getting it checked out. It is fine one minute, and I can walk around on it, as if nothing was ever the matter. Then, suddenly, i catch the step 'funny' and it goes completely. It feels like something is about to tear rather than has already...? It did it again yesterday, and i could not even stand on it for several hours. Sat down to rest it, got up, all ok.

I will be seeing the gp this week anyway, so i am going to talk to him about it. I feel daft going to a MIU and saying, my foot is currently absolutely fine, but...

I wouldn't reheat it if it's already been reheated to be honest, if he's had a little then he might have put a little bacteria in the milk from his mouth which could grow when it's reheated, it depends on how you feel about bugs though so it's down to you.

I'm not going to say anythin about your foot other then get it checked!!

PavlovtheCat · 10/01/2010 23:45

i will chuck it then . he dislikes it cold/room temp, prefers it warm like the real thing!

My son was like a piglet, all he used to do was feed. He did have 'fantastic weight gain' his HV wrote. It was a good job though, he had pneumonia at 8 months and lost a load of weight.

Get your foot sorted, it doesn't sound right.

PavlovtheCat · 10/01/2010 23:57

My foot will be sorted this week promise guv! Even DH now concedes there is something wrong, as he saw the pain on my face as i stood on it yesterday when it suddenly started to hurt again.

DS is a piglet too, as DD says 'iglet piglet'. He also has fantastic weight gain, moved from 25th centile when born to 50th now at 6wks. He has been a little poorly with a virus and his eating dropped a little for a few days, but he has not suffered in his weight, i can see it and feel it. Almost each hour that passes it notices! and he made up for it today by cluster feeding, All Day

Goodness, you must be exhausted!!

Ds is 10 now, I pop in to see him before I go to bed and I still notice that he suckles in his sleep, like he's having a feed! It's funny to watch, I stopped BF when he was 1.

I'll keep harassing you over that foot!!

PavlovtheCat · 11/01/2010 00:04

Not too badly tired. I have been in bed most of the day. Not able to sleep as he fed constantly, but at least resting. DD and I looked at animal pictures on google (she loves that) and not much else! DH cooked, as normal. I should really be sleeping now, as he is alseep, and it won't be that long before he is awake again and for goodness knows how long!

I shall let you know what doc says about my foot.

It will get better, the foot and the feeding.

PavlovtheCat · 11/01/2010 00:09

sleep well, am going to try to get my head down for, i shall not dare to even breathe how long it might be, for fear of jinxing it!
