Practical and non-hideous breastfeeding tops for the absurdly huge of nork?

Am still only 2nd trimester of pg, but am thinking ahead this tiem; with DS I got caught out and had nothing suitable to wear for BF, so had to try & shop while knackered and busy and toting a newborn.

This time I'd like to be better prepared. Figured it might make sense to shop in the sales if poss.

Any tips?

I've got three from here and I love them.

Large t-shirt with cardigan/man's shirt on top worked for me: lift t-shirt up, cardi remains down to give you privacy and warmth.

Worked well for me.
I did not like any specific BFing tops but now am the proud owner of a fine collection of stretchy jersey tops .

I agree with Pacific.

Today I am wearing a vest top, long sleeved jersey t-shirt and little cardigan.

So i pull top t shirt up and vest top down.

Discreet but also I hope stylish and will use for a long time after stopping bf.

I agree with Pacific and traceybath. I'm a 30F and I tried a whole load of breastfeeding tops and they were all rubbish. I ended up just buying a load of THESE vests
from M&S and wearing them under a t-shirt or cardie. They are stretchy so you can pull them up or push them down, whichever suits the rest of your outfit. Cheaper than BF tops and it meant I could wear all my pre-pregnancy clothes.

Thesecondcoming - just layer 2 vest tops. Although DD was born end of July and as summer was so rubbish - p still wore cardigans.

I am a proper Hooty-Mcboob without breast feeding so I was terrified about the arrival of my milk and hunted around for what I hoped would be a good solution...

The best I've come up with is said stretchy tops and vests but with waterfall cardigans over the top. Gap Maternity or Laura Ashley (not maternity) do some great ones. My friend followed my example and got some goodies from M&S too.

I can adust them to cover up the norkage whilst just out and about and then they do a great job of providing discretion whilst feeding. They do look nice too and I use the ends to provide a bit of extra blanket for DS too in this cold weather whilst we're having a cuddle.

Thanks for all the suggestions -- will follow them up. I am a GG at the moment (before first pregnancy I was a relatively manageable DD cup, but they just went up and up and up and never came down ...). I haven't gone up a cup size at all yet this pg, but I expect to be in H's at least when the milk comes in.

It's a PITA as norks that size can be rather unwieldy and are generally far, far bigger than the baby's head. I recall DS's lovely eyes peeking at me round the edge of the boob, just barely visible

It does seem like most bf tops are designed with smaller boobs in mind, which seems daft. Last time it was hard not to feel like I was blatantly exposing myself all onlookers, even when trying quite hard to be discreet. Never quite solved the problem ...

Theminniebobble, what's a waterfall cardigan? Sounds just the ticket.

ooh Picante, those tops do look quite good actually. Tempted. I like the plain ones.
