Eating for two

I wondered if anyone had any tips on this. I've got a 4 month old baby who I'm bf, and before Christmas I noticed that I was getting thinner than I was pre-pregnancy and I don't like it. I think I put on a bit over Christmas, but if I don't wean him until 6 months, it'll be quite hard work to make sure I eat enough - I don't think a slice of cake in the afternoon is enough any more, and sometimes I even forget to have that. He must also be taking a lot of my nutrients as well, so healthy calorific food would be ideal I suppose, but maybe I'll just cop out and take a multivitamin.

So - any advice on stuffing my face?

You don't need that many more calories to make milk. Couple of hundred isn't it? Something like that.

If you're losing a lot of weight and feeling poorly perhaps see the GP to rule out any underlying cause.

I think the general advice is to have maybe an extra snack - a couple of hundred calories should do it. At this stage I think I lost a bit of weight too (although it has since come back and brought some chums...) but if you feel a bit unwell or run down too it might be worth a chat with your GP.
I used to have some milk and cereal quite often - couple of weetabix. Quick and easy too.
Or a banana, even though I don't actually like them that much!

Perhaps we could swap? I am feeding like a machine and don't think I've lost a pound in 3 months. Could do with losing three stone... would you like it? :D
