EBF - what do I need for a night out? Do I pump and dump when I get home?

Hi

DS2 is 8wks and ebf. Am going for a night out in 2 weeks and will be out for about 5 hours max. Will be drinking, although given the lightweight I now am I doubt it will be much!

So, what do I need to do?
How much do I need to have expressed for DH to give? Ds2 seems to feed more frequently, but shorter feeds in the evening.

When I get home do I pump and dump as presumably I will have to skip the 10:30pm feed too as I'll have been drinking. Am assuming I need to pump still so I don't mess up my supply?
I'm planning to go out about say 7 and hopefully home around 10:30/11 so I don't miss out on too much sleep!

Presume I'd then be ok for the 4/5am feed?

Thanks.

When I had a night out before Christmas, I only ended up having 2 large glasses of wine and left a load of bottles with my parents to feed Ella. When I got back I pumped but couldn't bring myself to dump! The milk is sat in the freezer now and I don't know weather I should use it or not! Mind you over Christmas I probably had a little bit more to drink and continued to breast feed and it didn't seem to affect her at all. Although I obviously wouldn't do this on a regular basis, this was just a one off! Sorry probably not much help there!!

check archives on this - search on alcohol.

It's really not something to worry about, and there is no point in pumping (except for your own comfort) and even less point in dumping...

Thanks, will check archives but pleased to know I don't need to pump and dump. Disheartening to say the least to have to dump after all that effort!
