icklelulu thanks for your tip. Leaking is an issue for me only when DD2 is feeding, thankfully. The pressure trick does the job, and though the problem is certainly worse when I'm fuller, my supply is fine for DD2 at the mo.
So, back to your leaking .....supply is controlled by hormones, essentially. The let down is a 'mechanical' release of a particular liagament, IIRC. I suppose this could be what was damaged during your surgery?
In your original post, you mention that despite expressing, your injured breast kept leaking. The thing is, expressing would have encouraged milk production to continue on that side. The only way I can think of putting a stop to leaking is to revert to feeding on your good side only.
Although initially your injured breast will leak, eventually the supply on that side should deplete. If it is constantly leaking, it should negate the need to express to avoid build up, I would think, though maybe encourage a let down by hand, to take the edge off.
It depends on if you would be comfortable with feeding full time from one breast? A lot of women do this sucessfully, for one reason or another.
Other than that, all I can think of is to keep feeding from both sides but utilise the extra milk to your advantage. Save and store it for future use? Breast shells can be usefull, or even placing an open container under the leaky breast while you feed. It can be handy to have a good stock of EBM as weaning progresses .
