is it not one ounce of powder to one ounce of water?

Seona1973 · 28/12/2009 19:42

it is one scoop to 1oz but different scoops are different sizes so a scoop of one formula may not weigh the same as the scoop of another.

Hi

1 scoop of Hipp powder is 4.5grams. So if you have scales this will be the most accurate way of measuring.

Thanks oops - that was the answer I was looking for

Hi All... sorry to steal your thread but seems perfect one to hijack lol

My DD is on HIPP... changed her from Aptimal as she was wasn't settling very well and some some HIPP in the cupboard and she virtually straight away started sleeping better... however after a couple of weeks she has now started having pooey nappies at every change and they also seem to be quite liquid... has anyone else had this problem please???

OK thanks in advance x

Hi Pinkcaz - had exactly the same problem with DD2 - I stopped bf a few weeks ago and started her on aptimil, but changed as she didn't seem to take it very well and her nappies were horrendous! Went on to hipp, immediate improvement (took bottle much better too), then got constipated (for a couple of days) and now quite liquid and frequent. However, I don't know if hers is due to weaning or the milk as she is 6mo and I am just introducing solids.

I am not worrying about it though as she is alert, happy and content (much better than she was on Aptimil).

Not sure that helps, but I wouldn't worry too much unless your DD seems poorly too.
