When to stop sterilising?

My 15 month old still has one bottle at bed time. Do we still need to be sterilising this? Or can we stop now? I know that the teat is the crucial part, because the hole is so small, but it's a pain to sterilise one bottle, especially when we're away from home.
[Yes, I know he should have a cup by now but milk in a cup makes him gag. He will only drink water. Any thoughts on that would be welcome too!]

I offered my now 18 month old milk in a cup instead of a bottle at bedtime when he turned 1. He wouldn't drink it so he just didn't get any milk at bedtime! Didn't seem to do him any harm. I was really paranoid about it for a while and so stuffed him full of cheese, yoghurt, rice pudding etc at every opportunity! But to answer you're first question, no need to sterilise.

'your' not 'you're'!

Blimey, I never sterilised at all. You can relax now...

I stopped about 5 hours after I got home from the hospital.

LOL, I'm really sorry but pmsl at this thread. Not you OP, just I never cease to be amazed at the decisions women make because of the bollox information they are given.

Provided equipment is free from milk residue there is really no need to sterelise at all, - ever!

We stopped sterilising around 6 months with first kid. Hope I'm not too casual when next child is born, but I fear we might be.

I stopped at 6 months when DD crawled over to the buggy and licked the wheel .

You can definitely stop now
