Hiya my 13 week old has an awful cold...very blocked up chesty cough, been advised to just use carvol and calpol anyway she is onyl drinking 3-4oz every 4 hours roughly usually she drinks 6oz...

is it worth worrying about or not? her soft spot isnt inwards or anything so she isnt dehydrated, shall i just leave her to it or try and feed her little and often?

Don't worry - she'll probably just want little and often & maybe a bit of water in between times if she's just having formula.

Things that helped when DD had a cold were sitting her in a steamy bathroom & those saline drops in her nose.

It's horrible when they've got a cold. Hope she feels better soon.

Oh god - hope I didn't offend you with the 'just formula' comment. It's just that I read some of your posts a while ago when you were expressing too so meant that you didn't need to give her water if she was having EBM too.

nah didnt offend me, trying to re-start supply still....think its gonna work now with some help from some lovely ladies on here,

i have those saline nose drops too, i find they work a bit, gonna sit her in the bathroom later when i have my bath...

got a bowl of vicks steaming next to her...i know she isnt supposed to have it but i figured as its not actually on her and she isn't breathing it in directly its ok...its helping too!

well she had 4 oz at about 1ish and she just had about half an oz, gave her some water and she drank an oz...just looked again and her soft spot is in a tiny little bit so gonna keep giving her water between feeds.
