Title says it all really. I had intended to use it for our practising bottle feeding sessions but DD2 has bronchilitis so I think comfort of BF is better till she is over it. However I don't want to waste the milk in the fridge. Will it be ok to freeze it now? It was expressed Saturday evening !

BTW DD2 is only feeding a little due to coughing do I need to give anything other than BF to maintain hydration ?

TIA

have the same question,. forevermore! will watch with interest.
re hydration, i would just keep offering the breast often and letting her take what she wants. i am doing this as DD2 has a stinking cold and is only feeding a bit, she is just having it more often.

Unfortunately it's too late, you need to freeze the milk within 24 hours. For future reference you can keep it at the back of the fridge for 3-5 days, I only kept it for 3 tho.

Agree with Olivo, just keep offering the breast. Or you could just try the bottle and she how she goes?

really- i always froze expressed milk a couple of days or more old, im nearly certain on kellymom they say its fine to do?? never had a problem anyway.

Can't really remember what Kellymom said but I did a fair amount of research and all the info said freeze within 24 hours. Each to their own, if you're happy to leave to longerand have had no problems then that's up to you.
If I didn't use the milk I would chuck it away but I did have alot of it and expressed everyday for way longer than needed!! As a guess tho it may have more to do with loosing too many nutrients than making them sick.
