"Where's Mummy?!"

Ds pulls open my shirt, tugs down my bra, points to my boobs and grins "Dere!!"

"And where's DS?!"

Ds opens his mouth wide, points inside and says "Dere!!"

I think that's lovely, MaMight

skidoodle · 14/10/2009 05:46

I think the op is hilarious in a cute way.

My dd is the same age and I stopped feeding her 4 months ago or so. Sometimes when she's tired or not feeling well she likes to pull my top down and touch my breasts.

Well said about an 18 mo having a legitimate relationship with his mother's breasts.

Wallace · 14/10/2009 06:40

That is funny

poguemahone · 14/10/2009 07:22

That's lovely, MaMight. FWIW DS (18 mo) does the same sort of rummage and can't even spell boundaries

franklymydear · 14/10/2009 16:30

no he's not a baby at 18 months he's a toddler

franklymydear · 14/10/2009 16:30

and some toddlers jam their hands in your crotch - wait and see

ProcessYellowC · 14/10/2009 16:45

I think its cute and funny. My 19 mth old is boob-obsessed too. Just on another thread about how his language skills aren't that great, but he definetly understands "booby"! And I'm starting to suspect that the "BEEEeeeeh" that comes out of his babble is a shortening of that.

Dr Sears' "The Baby Book" covers birth to age two, so as a paediatrician I'd go with his definition.

MaMight · 15/10/2009 06:10

Wait and see what? Wait and see if my toddler jams his hand in my crotch? What? I'm sorry Frankly, I really don't understand the point you are making.

I'm intersted to know exactly what frankly's point is.

So what if a toddler, your toddler, did "jam it's hand up into your crotch" so what? Who cares?
Babies, toddlers, kids whatever do stuff like that.

stoppinattwo · 15/10/2009 06:53

I would be a bit more worried at a toddler jamming their hand in my crotch tbh.....neither of mine did that.

And how hte feck do you get an 18month old to resect your boundaries....do you reside in the dog cage???

Franklymydear you talk a crock tbh

Mamight...your DS sounds like a funny little man and i would be veeeeery proud of his little ways.

All this cuteness disappears all too soon and they start getting smelly feet, hairy legs and a voice that doesnt know what pitch its at

frankly, poke off love. The OP was telling us something harmless, nice, and heartwarming to make us smile. And you are taking yourself far too seriously, if you think it's that bad wait til you see some of the other threads.

bridewolf · 15/10/2009 15:49

maybe her nipples had dropped that far down...............poor baby had to lift skirt to get a drinkie....(shrug)

my youngest just reffered to my boobies by her name, there were 'hers' after all.

VirginiaLoveGlove · 15/10/2009 15:56

"I wouldn't be proud if any of my children as toddlers thought mummy meant food is all "

err, bf toddlers know that mummy is more than food. They use mummy's breasts for comfort aand security too.

anchovies · 15/10/2009 16:01

That is very cute!

(But am wondering why I haven't managed to teach any of my three boundaries at 18 months
and also how the hell crotches come into this?!)

Tryharder · 15/10/2009 18:19

My 16 month old can say "booby please".

[proud mum emoticon]

narmada · 16/10/2009 21:46

widowwadman - you might find that your baby has different ideas about decorum . It is very hard at that age to get them to do what you want. I think it's funny - my baby does that too and she makes me laugh out loud when she does it.

WriggleJiggle · 16/10/2009 22:50

I love the fact that only on MN could such an innocent (and hilarious) op could turn into a fight.
Congratulations OP on getting to 18 months

jemart · 16/10/2009 23:06

Is this a common pattern of behaviour with boys? DS currently 7 months with a boob fixation.
