Have read the Dr Jay Gordon method and we've made the decision to do it next week. I'm a bit worried that it won't actually improve DS's sleep though...
Just yes or no is fine, details welcome too though!
Many thanks

thank you wonderstuff, that's exactly what's happening with us. Did DD start feeding more in the day once you'd night weaned?
Love 'booboo', well cute!

I did with DD2, and it worked at 10.5 months. I have posted long threads on here, which I won't bore you with, but she went from waking hourly to straight through.

Can't really remember if feeds increased in the day. She always wants to feed if she is tired so probably did on those first couple of nights, but not since then. She did start eating a breakfast a bit better after a week or so. Now she is 22mo I am quite strict about only feeding before bed and first thing in the morning - often very early when it is first getting light. She would love to feed before naps aswell, but I found I was feeding so often in the day because she often wakes up when I try to put her down.

Thanks DH did the get ups last night and is settling DS for a nap now so hasn't had a feed since yesterday morning and hasn't asked yet. He'll make up for it later though I'm sure!
Do you have a link to anything pertininent lou ? I'm always interested in how others have gone about it. Tonight's the first night and I'm having major doubts.

My desperate plea for help at 10 months

A thread I started - explains how I did it

It's a bit long, but you did ask

Jasmine was hard-core - we had to take things very slowly. She is 2 now, and would still love nothing more than to go to sleep holding & pinching our hands.

But we gradually moved from stopping night feeds, to stopping all together.
Then moved from cuddling to sleep to holding hands.
Then holding hands through the bars with the sides up, then lying on the bed so she could see us.
Then sitting at the end of the bed.
Then finally a kiss and walk out.
