Me and Ds2 sleeping through night feeds

DS2 is 6 weeks this Saturday. He feeds quite well and had ut on weight at last weighing (@4 weeks) and due to be weighed next wed. He produces plenty of wet and pooey nappies. However I am so exhausted (have DS1 with SN and sleep issues as as well) that I keep sleeping through the alarm I set to wake me up to feed DS2. DS2 last night fed DS at midnight set alarm for 3 am didn't wake until 4 then set alarm for 6.30 slept until 8. So effectively DS has missed a feed. Do they catch up during the day or is this something I should be concerned about

No he sounds fine, don't worry about missing night feeds, he willl wake you if he is hungry!

I used to wake my DD for a feed in the night until one night at about 8 weeks I got her out of bed, changed her nappy, got her all poppered up again and sat down to feed her...and she was still sound asleep. I thought, why am I trying to wake her? So I left it, and let her tell me when, or if, she wanted a feed in the night. She sometimes woke up and sometimes didn't. I enjoyed the sleep

I worried when DD started sleeping through - but she's fine.

I only woke dd2 up to feed in the first week (was still in hospital so the MW's actually woke me to feed her!). She now wakes me up to feed - and is only 9wo.

Most people are doing everything they can to get their baby to sleep for longer at night - so hats off to you for feeding every 3 hours.

I honestly would just let your baby dicate when they want fed at night (unless you get worried about weight loss). Dd2 does tend to cluster feed bewteen around 7am and 11am - has a huge long sleep then cluster feeds again in the afternoon before I put her down for the night at 7pm-ish. She can sleep for up to 5hours in one go - but if she's hungry she will yell for food at whatever time she chooses!
