Poster of toddler 'breastfeeding' her doll is apparently 'distasteful, inappropriate and crude'

here

WTF?

Does anyone on here think that a picture of a toddler pretending to breastfeed her doll is anything other than cute?

I cant see any thing wrong with the poster in my eyes it is just sweet and healthy.
I think the poster is a great idea!
....
But when I was bf my son over a friends house the friends 3yr old girl started to copy putting her dolly up her top. Her Mum/my friend was not happy that she was coping me, I could not see the problem with her bf dolly but the day after it had happened dolly had a new bottle.
I always thought that it was just that my friend did not like the idea of bf her 2 children and thats why she bottle feed but after that day I began to think maybe she thinks bf is in some way rude and sexual?
All I can think is that the people who would get upset about the poster have the same odd view of bf being wrong (...but hay-ho every one to there own...)

OMG!!! What's going on with the world and bf!!! Bf is being made out to be so abnormal at the moment & it's doing my nut in

My son was 2.5yr when my daughter arrived via a home birth (that'll be the next thing that's considered abnormal, you just wait) and within days he was not only bf his very own doll but he was also shoving play balls up his top to resemble his boobs full of milk

Like a few others have said, young girls often decide how they're going to feed their own babies 'subconsiously' very early on. Also, children who see their Mums or other family/friends bf will often decide to do the same themselves (or encourage their partners to, iyswim) when the time comes for them to be parents.

AAAAAAH Makes me so mad

As I clicked on this thread I looked up to see DD 26 mo with her shirt up clutching a toy tortoise and saying "Feed" with a big grin on her face

totalmisfit · 26/05/2009 20:17

dd was trying to 'breastfeed' her fave toy via her tummy button the other day

Completely harmless and natural. People who have problem with it have real issues!
