bf baby vomiting, randomly

dd is 25 days old and seems to have off days where she is v spit-uppy and vomits an entire feed or two. But it seems quite random - this morning I had oatflakes at 3am (I know but bfing makes me hungry!), she fed at 4, 6, and 7, then vomited her 7am meal. Is it eyes bigger than tummy syndrome? Or should i be trying to determine if it's something i ate? and if so, how do you do thst? I eat like a gannet all day/night (see above)!

My dd used to do the same, it was because she would want to suckle for comfort rather than nourishment and then would throw up the milk as it was just too much for her little tummy.

very hard to determine at this age if they are wanting to suckle for comfort or hunger.

I guess that having been feed at 4 , 6 and then again 7 she was just too full.

i thought that too, then wondered. she is such a piglet it's v hard to tell!

i found that it would happen if i ate or drank something that didn't settle with ds's tummy. he's never been a sicky baby but if i drank wine the night before he'd be really sicky in the mornings. he'd be fine after the feed but about an hour later it'd be all curdle-y and really stinky.... it happened with onions as well...

the first couple of times, I thought maybe too much citrus - oj for brekky, mandarins for lunch that sort of thing. But can't imagine how I'd identify what the problem was this time (I really do eat a LOT )

how is your little one today?

Both my DSes used to do this.

Often it was in the evening and connected with over feeding.

They were also quite possety and windy babies and I think sometimes they tried to do a posset/big burp and their tummies got carried away and carried on chucking the whole lot up.

I came to the conclusion if they didn't seem in distress it was probably nothing to worry about (albeit annoying!)
